BREAKING NEWS

CLASSES HAVE BEEN CANCELLED DURING 14 DAYS STARTING MONDAY 16th. IT WON'T BE COMPULSORY TO GO TO SCHOOL TOMORROW FRIDAY 13th.

OUR STUDENT EXCHANGE 2020 TO KRONBERG HAS ALSO BEEN CANCELLED.

HOMEWORK DURING LOCKDOWN / Traballo durante peche escolar

As classes have been cancelled during the following 14 days and the grammar exams of all my groups haven't been done yet, this is what you should work on during the lockdown:

Check all the vocabulary, grammar & exercises of the units that will be asked about in the exam.

Agrup 2ºESO A & B: Units 1 to 4.

4ºESO B & D: Units 1 to 5.

1ºBAC B & C: Units 1 to 6.

The exams will be replaced on new dates once we're back at school. If it's in time for the assessment meetings, they'll count for this term. If not, they'll count for the third term.

Como as clases foron canceladas durante os próximos 14 días e non se fixeron os exames de gramática en todos os meus grupos, isto é no que podedes traballar durante o peche escolar:

Repasar todo o vocabulario, gramática e exercicios das unidades que entran no exame. (Unidades en vermello arriba según os cursos).

Os exames serán recolocados en novas datas unha vez que regresemos ás clases. Se é en tempo para as sesións de avaliación, contarán neste trimestre. Se non contarán para o terceiro trimestre.

[9thCW] KITCHEN VERBS/ACTIONS (& links to previous cooking posts)

As we've already decided what we'll be working on in the English classes for this year's Culural Week devoted to Gastronomy:
- Writing RECIPES of either British, American, Spanish or international dishes, to make up different recipe books.
- and/or VIDEO-RECIPES to be shown during the cultural week, preparing any dishes but explaining them in English.
And as some students are already choosing their dish and starting with their recipes, this post refreshes important vocabulary that you'll need to write them: KITCHEN VERBS/ACTIONS.

Remember that there are more on previous posts in the blog:

These charts are planned to be shown on exhibition during the Cultural Week, so that all the students are familiar the vocabulary.

[9thCW] "GASTRONOMY", OUR 2018'S CULTURAL WEEK TOPIC

The topic of our 9th Cultural Week has already been officially decided and announced. This year it will be devoted to GASTRONOMY, which is the practice or art of choosing, cooking and eating good food.
So the English Department has to start brainstorming ideas of which aspect we'll be working on.
We're open to suggestions...
So you can propose... for example:
Recipes in English?
British, American, Canadian, Australian... dishes?
Ways of cooking?
Best worldwide restaurant ranking?
You can already find lots of information in this blog under labels: COOKING, FOOD
So what do you fancy to eat?
