Adele Laurie Blue Adkins was born in Tottenham, North London, on 21 May 1988. She began singing at age four and asserts that she became obsessed with voices. Adele claimed she was then influenced by the music of the Spice Girls, The Cure, Etta James and Peggy Lee in her teens. Now with her second album "21" she has topped the British charts for 10 weeks, at the same time, her first album "19" has been at nº2, and her single "SOMEONE LIKE YOU" nº1 at the chart singles, too.
