NOUNS vs VERBS: THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THEIR STRESSED SYLLABLE


 Vocabulary is very flexible in English, the same word without any ortographic difference can be a noun or a verb, but the difference lies in its pronunciation. The stressed syllable changes: if it's a noun, the first syllable is stressed. When it's a verb, the stress falls on the second one. Above some examples, but there are many others.
