The German students from the Nuremberg Willstätter Gymnasium are already with us. They arrived yesterday afternoon. Today they visited the Domus and the Bellas Artes Museum. Tomorrow they're going on a trip to Santiago.
This afternoon we had an official welcome reception at the Coruña City Hall, where all the participating students, the German and Spanish teachers were welcomed by our mayor Xulio Ferreiro and the Social Justice councillor Silvia Cameán.

WOMEN'S DAY 2018
No classes today because the Council of A Coruña decided to declare a holiday on the International Women's Day. But also it's a day of social protest all around the world as women have decided to go on strike and demonstrations for their rights.
We're celebrating this day, remembering previous posts on this blog for this day: WOMEN.

STUDENT EXCHANGE 2018: WILLSTÄTTER GYMNASIUM, NUREMBERG / IES "RAFAEL DIESTE", A CORUÑA
Our school has been working together with the "Willstätter Gymnasium" in Nuremberg, Germany, for eleven years now on the student exchange programme. Since then we've held nine exchanges and this course will see its tenth edition.
From 2007 to 2014, the exchanges have been carried out annually but since this last year, it's every two years. This year's exchange will take place between March and April. In March, the German students will be here and in April ours will go to Nuremberg.
Students will be staying with their guest families and will attend some class activities in each of the schools and will have visits and trips organized to interesting surrounding places.
You can link to fotos of previous years HERE.
We'll be updating.
