As students of a plurilingual school, our 4th ESO & BAC pupils have been given the opportunity to enter for an ISE (=Integrated Skills in English) exam of the Trinity College. The ISE I is the equivalent to B1, the ISE II to the B2 and the ISE III to the C1.
The Trinity ISE exams are a 4 skill integrated test in a two exam module. READING-WRITING and SPEAKING-LISTENING. You can pass each of the modules indipendently but to get an ISE qualification certificate you need to pass both. You can take both modules together or separately.
Above there's the front page of a Trinity ISE exam with the general instructions and the time distribution for the READING & WRITING module.
General previous information to know:
- You can use a BLACK or BLUE pen and a marker. No pencils, erasers, eraser-pens, Typex can be used.
- No mobile phones, smartphones or smartwatches can be used.
- Watches must be worn on the wrist to control the time.
There are Guides for Students for each of the levels with specific information about what the exams are like, how to prepare them, what happens on the exam day and what is being assessed by the examiner on the following links.
